Meral Kocak is a commercial and insurance litigator who helps businesses navigate complex legal disputes. Her practice includes general commercial litigation, contract disputes, appellate work, and insurance bad faith claims. Meral also brings specialized experience in business law for cannabis companies and insurance industry clients, combining deep legal knowledge with an understanding of the unique challenges these sectors face.
Meral has also worked in civil litigation, where she developed a sharp eye for strategy and a commitment to resolving cases efficiently and effectively. Her approach is grounded in clear communication, thoughtful advocacy, and practical solutions tailored to each client’s goals. Meral earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was part of the Civil Rights Clinic and interned with the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office. She also holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Harvard Divinity School and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Outside of her legal work, Meral loves hiking with her dog, Amirah, and traveling to experience new landscapes and cultures. |
